So, it's only 6 days to go until we go to Washington D.C! I can't wait!! Minnerly's going to ask Ginny if I can have the solo. I played it for him again Thursday, and he said it was almost perfect! I really hope she lets me have it. I mean, it's his decision either way, but I don't want to make an enemy.
I don't really have much to write. I worked all weekend, which completely sucked. I'm a little worried about Alain, he seems really upset lately. His journals, at least what I can translate from them, are very sad. I hope he is O.K.
I'm going to jump in the shower now. Chris, the father of the kid I watch, gave me this conditioner he said is the best. He's a little strange, but that comes from years of drugs and drinking. Anyways, I'm going to go try it, then sleep. I need to finish my Latin test tomorrow. Then I need to get busy classifying plants..all week!

Last night was the small ensembles concert. First it was the wind ensemble, which I played one song in,
Epinicion and then the women's choir went up. Following us was the barbershop quartet, which was awesome! Brian was the star, of course. He is so great! Anna is so lucky to be going to prom with him (which is tonight, by the way, and Kurt is there, too). Finally, the jazz band performed. They were spectacular! Jerry had a few solos and Dr. Carl Knox, the director of jazz at CCSU had some solo's, as well as a dueling solo with Jerry. Shawn, Liz and Bethany were there. I was so happy to see them! Bethany was walking all over the place. Everyone fell in love with her. She was making the cutest little noises all throughout the concert. At one point, she made this high-pitched squeak right when Minnerly was about to do the downbeat, and he laughed and looked at her. When they were playing, she went over and picked up Tanya's purse and started carrying it around. I don't think Tanya was even watching the jazz band anymore, she was just watching Bethany. Who couldn't, though, she was so adorable! It was so nice to see all of them. I just wish that could happen more often. This whole situation is terrible on my stress. Not to mention the freaking plant project due next week, and tests, quizzes, etc.... I"M GOING INSANE!!!!! I wish I didn't have to work this weekend. But, I already told her I would, so I can't get out of it. I'm going to bed now, I need a good nights sleep.
Oh yeah, I forgot to mention. I saw the score for the field show next year, PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN!! It rocks!! I can't wait to play it!!

Wow, it's been a while since I last wrote. Yesterday morning, at about 2a.m, we got back from Gettysburg, Pa. It was just the American Studies class, minus Shannon. The trip was amazing! Thursday we set out at about 7 in the morning and got there at 1 ish. We wandered around a bit, saw the Jennie Wade house, toured the wax museum, ate at the Dobbin House, took a lantern walk (even though it was still too light out to use the lantern) and then went to ghost stories in the cellar of a supposed haunted house. Nothing strange happened, but I did make Tanya scream, and Barone threw a fake foot at the preppy girls..that was great! That night I was apparently the only one to get any sleep. In everyone's rooms the bathroom light blinked on and off, and there was knocking on the doors and windows of the rooms. Barone said that he heard what sounded like chairs being moved around outside the door, and ran out to catch the guys, but nothing was amiss. The next morning, everyone was talking about their strange occurrences over breakfast at Friendly's. We then went back to the rooms to pack and continued on to tour the Shriver house, where I got some candles dipped in bee's wax and raspberry jam. The house was great; completely decorated in Civil War time furniture, and we saw the attic where Confederate snipers shot out of during the war. We went over to hear Lincoln speak (and us snore) after that. By then, it was lunch time. Under the Lincoln Theatre was Pickett's Buffet, where we ate. The food, especially the dessert, was excellent! After lunch we toured around the battle fields on the bus, then went to the cyclorama; a huge, circular painting which depicted Pickett's Charge. When we were finished there, we went over to the mueseum, which had some really cool stuff all from the battle. We were going to tour the graveyards, but it was too damn hot. Mr.Hicks brought us down to get some soda, and on the way back, Tanya was looking down at this bug, and when she looked up she was just in time to see herself walk straight in to a steel stair beam. As funny as it was, I felt bad for her! She had a bad headache the rest of the day. Back on the bus, we met up with our tourguide, who brought us all through the battle fields and made everything so interesting. He showed us how to man a cannon, and we even did a mock firing. He explained to us in great detail, yet so that we could understand, what happened at the battle. We went to Devil's Den, where I took a picture inside a crevice which was blasting ice cold air..I wonder if a ghost will show up on the picture! After touring, we ate at Pickett's Buffet again, and then sadly had to say goodbye. There was so much that we did that I just don't have time to write, but that was the basics. That trip was probably the best I have ever gone on. Oh yeah, and on the way home we watched Tommy Boy and Ferris Bueller's Day Off. What a double feature!!
